Happy Crafting and Happy Holidays Everyone,
Ding ding ding – the class bell is ringing!! I believe I have this done right now. Classes have been scheduled and you can sign up and pay in Meetup.com. Join my group Crafting with Paper and Jeanette and you can see the current schedule and be advised of new classes, workshops and events as scheduled. You must register and pay for classes so I can properly prepare. Please note I currently have a special going **If you bring a guest, your next class/workshop will be free**. Please note space is limited so register early.
I am so excited to get this going into some kind of regular classes and I want it open to all ideas a voices so if you have any ideas, please feel free to contact me. Is there a special type of card you want to do? Or a type of stamping? Or some type of holiday project? Is there a day or time of the week that is better/best for you to meet? Do you have a group that wants to meet at your home? I can put together a traveling workshop if that works best for you – just let me know. I am also able to do classes for younger crafters so let me know if you have children with the desire to participate.
**I wanted to let you know Meetup uses WePay (as apposed to PayPal) and I did a little research on it and found that they are about 5 years old and offer the same protections as PayPal and fees are about the same and there were really no exceptional negative issues — there were basically the expected amount of complaints for a company of their size and they are rated “A” with the BBB so bottom line is: I feel comfortable using them to process payments.
I am scheduling card making classes at my workshop. Make 4 cards of your choosing for $25.00. I will have everything ready for you, you just assemble and decorate. You can put your own spin on them if you want, I have a wide variety of embellishments for you to chose from – my Stampin’ Up selection is growing by leaps and bounds! Birthday cards, get well cards, sympathy cards, holiday greetings, whatever you need,, we can make it together! Space is limited so be sure to register early. Review my calendar for dates and times available. Here are a couple of the cards you could chose:
Click here to visit my Stampin’ Up page and see my calendar where you can register for the class(es) of your choosing. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns or if you have any problems (this is new to me so I may mess up on some of these links – they are so confusing).
Well, my Open House is only a day away (and don’t worry I won’t start singing Annie fans) and I am so excited to show my family and friends how easy it is and how much fun it is to create beautiful cards, scrapbook pages, home decor pieces and so much more with Stampin’ Up! And it doesn’t cost as much as you think. Stampin’ Up has great kits available now that put everything together for you – then if you want, you can attend a class with me for a reasonable fee and use my stamps and dies to complete your kit. How easy is that? Or, we can schedule a party at your home and you and your friends can all complete the kit together – or get your holiday cards done perhaps? Just visit my Stampin’ Up page to see our current catalogs and then let me know how I can help you complete your project.
For my open house guests, I decided to use the “A World of Thanks” stamp as my inspiration to make one of the cards they can choose to make and take home. I thought it would be inspiring yet unintimidating for those that are new to stamping and card making. It is a nice all over stamp that is easy to use and everyone can always use a thank you card. I stamped with the current Stampin’ Up in colors on a piece of the matching in color paper. I liked the monochromatic look from the example they displayed in the current catalog but I thought it needed a little more so I used a card base in the same color but added a layer in between of designer series resist paper that is sponged in the same color (unfortunately, I was not aware the resist paper is no longer available – I’m sorry). On the cucumber crush card, I didn’t really like the way the resist layer came out so I used a layer of paper from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. I wrapped bakers twine around the top layer and tied a double bow – then I punched 4 small hearts and glued them back to back on the ends of the twine (I really like how that cake out – I think it is super cute). On 3 of the 4 cards I added flowers that were diecut on my Bigshot. I lightly spritzed them with water and crumpled them up and let them dry. When dry, I opened them and shaped them with a stylus on the foam pad and lightly sponged them with matching ink. I think they ended up looking like leather – I was quite pleased. I attached the petal layers with a brad and attached the flower with a glue dot. The final touch was 3 small pearls. I hope my guests like them. I hope you do to. Please let me know what you think and let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything I can help you with. Thanks for stopping by.
I sat down yesterday with the stamp set Mosaic Madness and the Mosaic punch. I know that they have been discontinued but I really think they go really well with the in color Mint Macaron. I also have an embossing folder from Momenta that I thought coordinated really well. So, here is what I ended up with:
The card on the left is made with Whisper White Cardstock, then I used the individual stamp in a repeat, offset pattern on Mint Macaron to make my own background paper. Then I stamped more on another piece of the Mint Macaron and cut them out with the Mosaic shape punch. I used a white gel pen to decorate the punches and added a few rhinestones and glued the punches over a few of the stamped images.
The card on the right is also made with Whisper White Cardstock, then I took a piece of Mint Macaron and ran it through my Big Shot with the Momenta embossing folder. I lightly sponged over the top and edges with Mint Macaron ink to make the embossed image stand out a bit more. I stamped images on another piece of Mint Macaron, punched them out with the Mosaic Punch, then coated them with Glossy Accents (be sure to let that thoroughly dry – I let mine sit overnight to be sure) then attached them with Dimensionals. I added a Happy Birthday greeting and a few Pearl Jewels for a final added touch.
I hope you like them. Please let me know what you think and don’t hesitate to ask any questions, I would be happy to help you with any questions you may have. Please visit my Stampin’ Up Page to view our current catalogs and shop any time, 24 hours a day. I also offer many classes and workshops to meet many needs so check out my calendar – contact me if you don’t see what you need, I can set up a special session just for you and your friends — just let me know what you are interested in doing. I look forward to helping you create something fabulous soon!
I can’t believe it is almost here – Saturday is just a few days away and I feel like a little kid just before Christmas. We are going to have so much fun. I am really looking forward to introducing my passion and Stampin’ Up to my friends and family. I was really disappointed to realize that my mom is flying out of town that day so she will not be able to attend — but that give me an excuse to have another party when she gets home! LOL
I just got notice of a huge order being shipped from Stampin’ Up giving more reason for it to feel like Christmas. I hope it gets here by Saturday so I can show off all of the new things I got, but it will be OK if it doesn’t get here (another reason for me to have another party). The Holiday Catalog has so many new and fun things that i was able to pre-order as a demonstrator. The catalog goes live tomorrow so I get to show off all of the wonderful goodies on Saturday and everyone can order from either catalog. I will be scheduling workshops in conjunction with some great holiday kits that we have — one of my favorites is a wreath that is easily interchangeable for 3 (yes I said THREE) holidays – Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas – it is fabulous – and let me tell you the pictures in the catalog do not do it justice – it comes out looking soooooo much better.
So, don’t forget to come on over for my Open House Saturday at 7pm as I start my new adventure with Stampin’ Up. If you have not received an invitation and would like to attend, please send me a message, and I will be happy to give you the details. And, if you can’t attend and would like to shop, visit my Stampin’ Up page here.and you can submit an order online — or feel free to e-mail it to me and I will submit it for you.
Everyone loves a handmade card, let me help you create one to give to someone special in your life – I promise you will LOVE the feelings it generates.
