Oh My Stars is having their Grand Opening event this weekend at 1935 Avenue D, Katy, TX and they are carrying some of my hand made greeting cards! I am so excited to have them in a storefront, I can’t even put it into words. Thank you so much to Malonya and Jodi for giving me this opportunity and exposure.
Oh My Stars is a wonderful store carrying unique home decor and gift items. Visit them this weekend, August 7th & 8th and check out their fantastic items. All details are on their Facebook page. I wish them success and happiness in their new venture! I hope this leads to a long and fruitful relationship between Oh My Stars and Jnets Line.
I also hope that this will be the spark that gives me some self confidence so that I can put myself and my products out there more. I don’t know what is wrong with me that I am so afraid to pursue my dreams and start by selling myself and my products. I love what I do and I am very proud of what I produce. I really love to give my things away as gifts which usually results in what we all love — compliments! ………….But then I see other crafters work and I lose all confidence. I don’t feel that my work holds up and I can’t imagine people willing to pay their hard earned money for my stuff. I have always gotten the support and praise from my family (thank you all so much, I love you and so appreciate your help, praise and encouragement over the years), but let’s face it, they are family – they have to be nice right? Lol. Except for Dad, we can always trust Dad to tell you exactly what he is thinking!
Anyway, all this boils down to the fact that this is a very big step for me and I intend to keep those steps going in the right direction, so thank you again to Oh My Stars Jodi and Malonya. Good luck ladies!

Happy Crafting and Happy Holidays Everyone,
Ding ding ding – the class bell is ringing!! I believe I have this done right now. Classes have been scheduled and you can sign up and pay in Meetup.com. Join my group Crafting with Paper and Jeanette and you can see the current schedule and be advised of new classes, workshops and events as scheduled. You must register and pay for classes so I can properly prepare. Please note I currently have a special going **If you bring a guest, your next class/workshop will be free**. Please note space is limited so register early.
I am so excited to get this going into some kind of regular classes and I want it open to all ideas a voices so if you have any ideas, please feel free to contact me. Is there a special type of card you want to do? Or a type of stamping? Or some type of holiday project? Is there a day or time of the week that is better/best for you to meet? Do you have a group that wants to meet at your home? I can put together a traveling workshop if that works best for you – just let me know. I am also able to do classes for younger crafters so let me know if you have children with the desire to participate.
**I wanted to let you know Meetup uses WePay (as apposed to PayPal) and I did a little research on it and found that they are about 5 years old and offer the same protections as PayPal and fees are about the same and there were really no exceptional negative issues — there were basically the expected amount of complaints for a company of their size and they are rated “A” with the BBB so bottom line is: I feel comfortable using them to process payments.
I completed my Witches Hat from the Witching Decor Project Kit and I love how it came out! Again, I truthfully say it comes out so much better than the pictures in the catalog show. I am not a burlap fan so I substituted the burlap bow with a pretty orange organza ribbon that I tied with the Ribbon Maker I got from CreatandCraft.com. I have always been terrible at tieing bows and this has been a life saver. I got two sizes that tie tiny bows for cards and larger bows for home decor projects like wreaths and such.
The directions tell you to put the leave on the linen string but I didn’t care for that look either so I spritzed my leaves & crumpled them and let them dry. Then I sponged them with crumb cake (I liked that a little better than the soft suede the directions called for) then I randomly placed them around the had gluing them down with Tombow glue So here is what I ended up with. Let me know what you think. You can order a kit for yourself from my Stampin’ Up page or just e-mail me!
